Follow this step by step tutorial to learn how to make a beautiful Baby Care Package using only organic and non-toxic essentials every baby (or toddler) needs!
As a Mom, I know first hand just how hard it is to get out to the store to buy all the non-toxic baby essentials that are needed to care for your baby on a daily basis. I also know how fast you tend to run out of those baby essentials as well. This is why I love to create baby care packages using the best organic and non-toxic baby products, for my friends and family whenever I can. It is one of my favorite things to do. If you are looking for baby care package ideas you have come to the right place.
This non-toxic baby care package makes the perfect gift for a Mommy with a new baby just coming home from the hospital, for a Mommy of an older baby who is stuck indoors, and even for a Mommy of a toddler who is busy balancing all of the other activities of their day.
With all that is going on these days and considering how hard it is to find essential baby supplies an organic baby care package will be a very, very appreciated gift, trust me!

Organic Baby Care Package Ideas
Let’s first start with the organic and non-toxic baby essentials we should put inside our non-toxic baby care package. I am only going to recommend the absolute essentials that a Mama needs for her baby or toddler’s daily care for our baby shopping list. While there are a lot of fun items I would love to put into a care package I think it is best to just focus on the actual essentials.
Non-Toxic Disposable Diapers
Obviously diapers have to be number 1 on this list! One baby can go through a package of diapers within a couple of days easily. It is important to make sure you are choosing chemical-free, non-toxic diapers whenever you can so that babies can avoid unnecessary exposure to toxic chemicals. In this post, about the best non-toxic diapers, you can see why you should avoid big box diapers and which chemical-free diapers are best!
Non-Toxic Baby Wipes
Just like diapers, baby wipes are one of those essential baby items that get used up really fast, especially if you are also using those wipes to wipe little hands and faces and possibly clean up other messes along the way. Water wipes are the only brand of baby wipes that are completely non-toxic and perfect for a baby’s sensitive skin.
Organic Diaper Balm
Including some organic diaper balm in a non-toxic baby care package is such a helpful addition. I always choose a diaper balm that has calming, soothing ingredients that also heal. I also prefer diaper balm that can double as an all-over ointment. Earth Mama Organics makes my absolute favorite diaper balm. It also helps to heal all of my little ones “boo-boos” as well.
I realize that organic washcloths may not be absolutely essential to include in your organic care package since they are reusable and most Mommies have a good amount already. But I usually will include a couple just because I use them for so many things. I never seem to have enough between laundry loads (these ones are my favorite). So I assume this is a common problem for most Mom’s as well. In addition to bath time and wiping sticky hands, I will use mine to make reusable organic baby wipes as well.
Non-Toxic Baby Wash
Between all the extra baths and so, very much hand washing lately, baby wash is something that us Mommy’s need a lot of. I only choose soothing baby soap that contains organic ingredients. I do like Dr. Bronner’s baby soap and use it a lot. But my absolute favorite is this super soothing baby wash from Earth Mama Organics.
Organic Baby Food
Every organic baby care package should contain baby food in it. I have been ordering baby food constantly lately since my local supermarket is always out! There is no worse feeling in the world than when you can’t find baby food for your baby. The organic baby food from this company is mine and my baby’s favorite. It is made from the highest quality grass-fed and free-range meats and organic vegetables. My favorite part is that they are so low in sugar (unlike the majority of baby foods on the market). The free-range turkey and the grass-fed beef are top favorites in my house.
There is nothing worse than an uncomfortable, teething baby. The most soothing thing a baby can use for sore, tender gums is a wood teether. Teether’s made from wood are not only non-toxic but they are also naturally anti-bacterial since bacteria can’t live on wooden surfaces. For a little extra teething relief I will sometimes put mine in the freezer for about 20 minutes before giving it to my baby to chew on. My favorite wooden teethers are these ones from Finn and Emma. Bannor Toys also makes high quality wood teethers and their’s come with colorful silicone beads as well! As an added bonus when you get wood teethers they can also double as fun toys!
Putting Together an Organic Baby Care Package
Once you have collected all of the organic and non-toxic baby essentials that you want to include in your baby carte package, you now need to put it together. I like to use cute wicker baskets like these.
Step 1: Start With the Big Items First
I always start by putting in the biggest items first. So for example, I put the non-toxic diapers, non-toxic wipes and organic baby wash in first.
Step 2: Add in the Other Smaller Items
Now put in the rest of the smaller items. You may have to move some of the bigger items around to fit in all of the smaller items.
Step 3: Re-arrange
The final step is to carefully arrange all of the non-toxic baby essentials so that your baby care package looks pretty and presentable.
Step 4: Give Your Non-toxic Baby Care Package Away
This is, of course, my favorite step! There is no better gift for a Mama than getting all of the supplies that she needs for her baby or toddler in a pretty care package.
